Today, the children really impressed me with their concentration and attention to detail, whilst carefully observing some lilies we had used to investigate the parts of a flowering plant.

We have been learning about life cycles of some different animals and plants in science. The children are developing a good understanding of how living things need to reproduce to ensure that their species survive. Whilst looking at the life cycle of flowering plants, they have learnt to name the parts of a plant and understand how insects, such as bees, play an important part in the pollination process.

Observational Drawing

The finished drawings are all beautiful and so different in character - every one of them is a work of art to be proud of!
