In EYFS, we had our second 'Stay and Play' of the year. The first session in autumn one introduced the phonic sounds to our parents, through shared activities that helped support their child in articulating the sounds. The most recent session enabled parents to see how their child can now apply what they have learned in phonics to their reading. Many parents were very impressed at the progress their child had made. One parent commented,'It was amazing to see how much progress they had made from the first stay and play session to now. They can blend the sounds to read the words'.

This was also a fantastic opportunity for parents to discuss with the teachers the next steps for their child. We are all so proud of what we have achieved by working together.
