We investigated our heart rate in Science this week. First we practiced finding our pulse and counting the beats. We started by measuring our heart rate when we were still and had done no exercise; this is called our resting heart rate. Then we carried out different types of exercise for one minute each and measured our heart rate after each exercise. We recorded our results on our investigation sheets each time. We were able to conclude that after exercise there is an increase in our heart rate and our bodies feel warmer, sweatier and tired.  We also found out that more vigorous exercises make our heart beat faster like star jumps and jogging on the spot than less energetic exercises like sit ups or touching our toes.
