This week in Maths we are looking at 3D shape. Today we focused on becoming more familiar with 3D shapes including cube, cuboid, sphere, cylinder and square-based pyramid. First, we had 5 minutes to build something using the 3D shapes, before we had to draw a picture of what we had built and label the 3D shapes we had used. Next, we went on a 3D shape hunt around the school. We looked for objects which resembled 3D shapes, for example, a football is a sphere and the book boxes were a cuboid. We found that 3D shapes are everywhere!
