Today, we were continuing to look at persuasive writing. We learned that writers will often luse commands in their persuasive writing. We had a go at changing some questions into commands. For example "Please will you pass me the pencil?" becomes 'Pass me the pencil!'. We remember these by thinking of commands as being a bit 'bossy', and they start with a 'bossy' verb, which we call an imperative verb. Next, we thought about objects we have at home which might be feeling a bit annoyed with us (just like the crayons in the story) and we thought of some of the things they might say. We came up with some excellent ideas!
