This week in PSHE we looked at the qualities of a good friend, what makes a good friendship and how we can solve conflict to find a solution everyone is happy with.  We discussed how working together can result in a win-win situation for all involved.  We revisited the 'solve it together' technique and also looked at the 'mend a friendship' traffic light system.

In groups, we were given a scenario which resulted in conflict.  The groups worked together to role play the situation and then work through the solve it together and the mend a friendship steps to show how the conflict was resolved and all parties happy with the solution found.  We know it's important to listen to both sides of the story, to acknowledge when we're wrong, to be calm and ready to say sorry and find a solution that everyone is happy with.
