Looking back over this term, I am filled with joy and thankfulness.
As a school we have continued to show huge generosity to those less fortunate than ourselves. We have raised money for MacMillan Cancer and CAFOD. We have donated food and essential items to Cornerstones for the homeless and food parcels have been given to the needy in our community. It is wonderful that we have been able to make a difference to people less fortunate than ourselves. Thank you all.
It is also important to remember that there may be people we can help in other ways. There are many people who are lonely and a few kind words, a small chat or a friendly smile may make a big difference to their day. I know that we are all busy but if you know someone who may be on their own, try to spare a few minutes to brighten their Christmas. Remember it’s not just elderly people that may be lonely. Sometimes single parents may need a little adult conversation! Why not pop round to a neighbour with a mince pie! Call in with a coffee! Whatever you do this holiday, take a moment to give thanks for everything you have and for the love that you receive.
And remember….if you know anyone in our St Francis family that needs help, please let us know.
On behalf of the staff, can I thank you for the kind and generous gifts we have been given.
Have a very holy and happy holiday!
