Governors

St Francis RC Primary School is part of the Emmaus Catholic Academy Trust. The school is supported by a dedicated Local Governing Body which, alongside the Trust, is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and development of the school. An important aspect of this role is to act as a critical friend, by providing support, offering constructive challenge, asking insightful questions, and representing the interests of the wider school community.

The Local Governing Body works in close partnership with the Headteacher and staff to ensure the continued success of the school. While the Headteacher has responsibility for the day-to-day management and operation of the school, governors and the Trust contribute to strategic decision-making in areas such as staffing, curriculum development, finance, and school premises. Together, they help to ensure that the school is well-managed, financially secure, and able to provide a broad range of academic, spiritual, and social opportunities for all pupils.
